Benalauría is a Spanish municipality in the province of Málaga, Andalusia, located to the east of the province in the Valle del Genal, being one of the towns that make up the Serranía de Ronda region.
It has 503 inhabitants. Located 667 meters above sea level (from the town you can see Gibraltar and the North African coast), it is 30 km from Ronda. Its streets and houses preserve the typical rural atmosphere of the towns of the Serranía de Ronda, the region to which it belongs.
Roman columbarium of the Cortijo del Moro: Roman funerary monument, probably from the 1st century AD. C. The construction of the burial chamber is rectangular with a single room with walls of three courses of stones that have the same height. Due to its poor state of conservation, it is included in the Red List of Heritage of the association Hispania Nostra.
Festivals: Moors and Christians in honor of the local patron, Santo Domingo de Guzmán, first weekend of August; Virgin of the Rosary, October 7.
